HARLINGEN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT LAUNCHING JOB FAIR SERIES “WORKFORCE WEDNESDAY” STARTING AUG. 4

HARLINGEN, TEXAS (JULY 12, 2021) – A sign of our region’s economic recovery is evident as many businesses are fully operating and hiring. The Harlingen Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) and Workforce Solutions Cameron will begin hosting a series of mini-job fairs that will be held every other month starting Wednesday, Aug. 4.

The series, called Workforce Wednesday, will help many regional companies fill available positions in various industries. The job fairs will host up to six employers and each fair will be industry-specific. 

The inaugural Workforce Wednesday will be held at the Harlingen Convention Center, 701 Harlingen Heights Drive, Harlingen, from 9 a.m. to noon.

All employer slots have already been filled and job seekers can expect to find hundreds of openings from employers in government and manufacturing sectors.

“The Workforce Wednesday jobs fairs are the perfect opportunity to bring together our talented workforce with employers eager to hire. Events like this help to strengthen our economy and support our major employers,” Raudel Garza, Harlingen EDC CEO, said.
