Harlingen Entrepreneurs Can Now Apply to the HEDC-Sponsored UTRGV Kauffman FastTrac Business Course

Harlingen, Texas (Jan. 24, 2022) – The Harlingen EDC is once again sponsoring the 7-week business course, Kauffman FastTrac. The UTRGV Entrepreneurship & Commercialization Center-led course is open to up to 10 participants who are currently looking to open or grow their business in Harlingen.

This in-person course will be held once a week every Tuesday beginning April 5 to May 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Harlingen EDC office. This $700 course will be available to participants at no cost when they apply for the course by March 17. The application can be found online and space is limited.

The course offers entrepreneurs courses that help them build and strengthen their business plan, access financial and business resources, identify market needs, understand business fundamentals, explore risks and success factors, and more.

The program is instructed by experts who help Kauffman FastTrac participants develop a business concept, determine the viability of the concept, and outline the critical steps to successfully launch their business.

“We are proud to continue sponsoring these business courses in order to provide our small business community with the resources and tools they need in order to thrive in an ever-changing economy,” Raudel Garza, Harlingen EDC CEO, said.

“We want entrepreneurs to begin building their dreams here in Harlingen.”
