Harlingen Restaurant Celebrates One-Year Oct. 22

HARLINGEN, TEXAS (Oct. 21, 2021) - Reyna’s Bar-B-Q opened its doors in Harlingen a year ago and since, the popular barbecue has been hitting the spot for lunch, dinner, and catering events. Owners Zeke and Erika Reyna have also since the start given back to the community that keeps them going.

“We are grateful for the community and the support of our restaurant,” Zeke said. “Harlingen has been good to us.”

And the Reyna family has been good to its community. This Friday, Oct. 22, the Reyna’s are celebrating the restaurant’s 1-year anniversary and making it an all-day event.

“We will have t-shirt giveaways, Koozies, key chains, and cake,” Erika said. She added that they will have giveaways throughout the day and specials like $1 beer and $2 margaritas.

The event, much like, many of their other events will be a community event. In their year since opening the couple has held Back-to-School drives, donated meals back to the healthcare community, sponsored events for Harlingen CISD and City of Harlingen Police Department. The couple said they are also thinking ahead to the holidays and planning giveaways to families in need.

“Even with a small labor force, we have done well during this time. Nothing will change our persistence, great attitude, values, quality service, and good food,” Zeke said. He added that they are in the works of opening up their bar soon.

Celebrate the restaurant's 1-year anniversary and if you haven't already, stay for some tasty barbecue on Friday, Oct. 22.
